Seiko Prospex Green Water Marinemaster 1965 Re-interpretation

Seiko
Seiko Prospex Watch Green Water Marinemaster 1965 Divers Re-interpretation SJE117J1. This piece is a re-interpretation of Japans and Seikos first ever Divers watch which was released in 1965 and marked the beginning of Seikos expertise in diving watches. From 1966-1969, this watch was worn by members of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, proving its durability and reliability in challenging environments. With a case design inspired by the original 1965 piece, carrying the name Marinemaster from Seikos heritage in diving watchmaking, the aesthetic is modernised with an elegant marine sports style. Under a box sapphire crystal glass is a refreshing Aquatic green dial with a textured horizontal pattern. Aside from mirror-finished lugs, it features rectangular Lumibrite-coated indices, reminiscent of the original 1965 Diver. In a more compact case size than previous re-interpretations, it recreates the silhouette of the first piece. The super hard coated case is only 12.3mm, making it the slimmest Seiko mechanical diver at ISO Diving Standard, despite its box sapphire crystal glass and sapphire exhibition case back. Whilst being slim, the newly developed in-house 6L37 mechanical calibre maintains high precision of +15 to -10 seconds per day, and a power reserve of 45 hours. Prospex is a combination of the words Professional and Specifications. Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
