A hidden ruby can be found on the inside of the band, in keeping with Faberges penchant for surprise. Rubies are a symbol of passion, prosperity and protection, making them the perfect secret addition to this striking new collection. The width of the band is 2-6mm, the depth is 1.5-2.5mm and the hallmark shape is 6x10mm. The 1842 collection pays homage to the year when Gustav Faberge opened his jewellery boutique in St. Petersburg. This fine jewellery collection is inspired by the gold jewellery and precious accessories Faberge began producing in the years before the first Imperial Egg was born.
