Iwc Watch Aquatimer Edition Expedition Charles Darwin

Iwc
IWC Watch Aquatimer Edition Expedition Charles Darwin. IW379503. The first watch in IWC Schaffhausens history to feature a bronze case, the IWC Aquatimer Edition Expedition Charles Darwin watch pays homage to the well-known ship, HMS Beagle, which carried Charles Darwin on his expedition to the Galapagos Islands. In the past, bronze was used extensively throughout the construction of ships due to its non-corrosive properties. Today, this material makes up the 44 millimetre case of the special edition IWC watch and as always, will develop a natural patina over time. Tones of bronze also appear on the across the ink-black dial through the luminescent material on the hands, indices and quarter-hour scale on the internal rotating bezel. The bezel of the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph features an external rotating bezel which rotates an inner bezel protected by a SafeDive system, a piece of technology that allows it to be moved simply and precisely in steps of one minute, even when wearing diving gloves or with cold fingers. A screw in crown, rubber push buttons and a screw down case back assist in a 300 metre water resistant rating. Hiding within the bronze case of the IWC Aquatimer Edition Expedition Charles Darwin watch is the IWC-manufactured 89365-calibre movement which delivers chronograph function with minutes and seconds, flyback function, date display, small hacking seconds and a healthy power reserve of 68 hours. To complete the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph watch, a black rubber strap is added and fitted with IWCs patented quick-change system so you can effortlessly swap it over to another strap or bracelet.
