Longines is famed for having a long history with aviation, having partnered up with legendary pilot Charles Lindbergh back in the 1930s to create a clear and reliable navigational watch. Continuing to evoke the same pioneering spirit, this Longines Avigation watch pays homepage to another 1930s model that was recently presented by a collector to the Longines museum. This modern interpretation of the Longines Avigation BigEye Chronograph comes presented with a 41mm stainless steel case with brushed and satin finish, a slim polished bezel and high quality domed sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment. Fitted to the case are two oversized chronograph pushers designed to protrude like the original alongside a non-screw down crown. Its water resistance of 30 metres is ensured by the screw down case back decorated with an aeroplane and the famous Longines logo engravedinside it. Hidden behind the case back of this Longines Avigation watch is the L688 automatic movement, a Swiss made mechanical calibre which provides column wheel chronograph function with central 60 seconds hand, 30 minutes counter at 3 o' clock and 12 hours counter at 6 o' clock alongside standard hour, minute, small seconds and a power reserve of 66hours.
