MeisterSinger Neo Plus Pointer Date NED417 Automatic Blue Dial Silver Milanese Bracelet Men's Watch An elegant MeisterSinger classic with a new addition: the Neo Plus with hand date. The Meister Neo Plus Pointer Date NED417 is a masterpiece which has a form of display which was a traditional one for watches, as the date used to be indicated by a hand at the centre of the dial long before the first date windows appeared. Moreover, the design, which is rare today, follows the MeisterSinger principle of not showing the current moment individually but in context, providing an overview of both the weekly and the monthly course of events. Key Features: Automatic: Sellita SW 200-1 Stainless Steel Case With Screwed Back DomedHardened Acrylic Glass 30m Water Resistant The Case: With its slender bezel and domed hardened acrylic glass, the Neo Plus is one of the most elegant models in the MeisterSinger collection. The domed shape is known for being difficult to make with other watches featuring a flat style, but this piece keeps up with its high standards set by the brand. The screwed back of the stainless-steel case is engraved with the fermata logo, stamped with a serial number. The 40mm case is then finished with a crown seen at the 3 o'clock position The Strap: A silver steel Milanese mesh bracelet makes for a comfortable fit around your wrist. The Milanese design comes from the city of Milan, Italy which is now-a-days known for being one of the biggest fashion cities in the world. It can be easily fastened using a sliding clasp. The Dial: MeisterSinger watches show the time with just one single hand. The same is also true of the new model, the Neo Plus Pointer Date, the big sister of a MeisterSinger classic, the Neo . Although the watch is equipped with an additional hand, its only function is to display the date in the middle of the dial. This form of display was a traditional one for wristwatches, as the date used to be indicated by a hand at the centre of the dial long before the first date windows appeared. Moreover, the design, which is rare today, follows the MeisterSinger principle of not showing the current moment individually but in context, providing an overview of both the weekly and the monthly course of events. The Neo Plus Pointer Date is a variation on this idea and follows the classical rule that the hand for indicating the longer periods of time, in this case the full days, is the shortest. The date circle is somewhat recessed and located tightly around the centre of the dial, clearly different from the minute scale and the hour numerals. Its typography and the small, needle-like hand are highly typical of MeisterSinger. The blue sunburst dial is then finished off with the MeisterSinger logo at the centre of the dial. The Functions: The automatic Sellita SW 221 can accumulate up to 38 hours of power reserve. It compromises of 25 jewels which all work together to provide the movement to the hand. It beats at28,800 Semioscillations per h 4 Hz which is a common frequency in watches. Finally, this watch has a water resistance of 50 metres, making it suitable for surface swimming.
